Dr. Tran Thanh Hung is a renowned Associate Professor and a key leader at VNCHIP Institute, heading the Research and Development department and directing VNCHIP Institute. He began his academic journey at the prestigious Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, later earning his Ph.D. from Cornell University in New York. His past teaching and research experience spans positions as an Assistant Professor at the University of California – Irvine and as an Associate Professor at Texas Tech University.
Dr. Tran Thanh Hung has received numerous distinguished grants, including the NSF Grant for his work on "The Geometry of Minimal Surfaces and Four-Dimensional Manifolds," the Simons Foundation Collaboration Grant, and a collaborative grant from the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics. These awards highlight his expertise and dedication to advancing research in cutting-edge fields.
At VNCHIP Institute, Dr. Tran Thanh Hung is committed to advance Vietnam’s semiconductor industry by establishing VNCHIP Institute as a world-class hub for IC Design and Technology Research. His goal is to combine his global expertise with local knowledge, driving innovation and helping position Vietnam as a leader in the high-tech sector. Mr.Nghia

Board of Advisory

Dr. Huynh Phuoc Nghia, Director of the Center for Economics, Law and Governance (CTELG) at University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), serves as a key business consultant for VNCHIP, bringing over 15 years of experience in consulting, research, and leadership. He has successfully led corporate restructuring and growth strategies for leading companies like TTC, Tin Nghia, Ecopark, and Suoi Tien.
Under the partnership between VNCHIP Technology JSC and CTELG, Dr. Huynh Phuoc Nghia will lead a consulting team focused on building a 3-year business development strategy, enhancing organizational capacity, and optimizing management models. His expertise in market strategy, corporate restructuring, and business innovation will fuel VNCHIP's continued success.
In addition to his academic role, Dr. Huynh Phuoc Nghia is Vice President of the Vietnam Marketing Association (VMA) and a trusted voice in policy consultation, industry forums, and startup projects. His comprehensive experience and thought leadership make him an invaluable asset to VNCHIP's growth and strategic vision.

Mr.Hoang

Scientists Council

Mr. Hoang is an Engineering Director with over 15 years of experience in IC design and development. He has worked extensively with high-performance, low-power integrated circuits across various technology nodes from 90nm to 5nm.
Before joining VNCHIP Institute, Mr. Hoang held key positions at Renesas Design Vietnam and Ampere Computing Vietnam. At these companies, he was responsible for quality control in circuit design, custom layout, physical design, and physical verification.
Now at VNCHIP Institute, he leads and manages the engineering team, providing mentorship and technical guidance. Mr. Hoang ensures that projects are well-planned, executed efficiently, and completed on time. His role also includes implementing and maintaining strict quality control standards in IC design. He collaborates closely with the Research & Development (R&D) department to drive innovation.
With his deep expertise, he is committed to advancing Vietnam’s semiconductor industry. Under his leadership, VNCHIP Institute strives to become a leading IC design hub in the region.

Ms.Dung

Mrs. Dzung received her bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pierre and Marie Curie University (also known as Paris VI) and a master degree in Computer Science from Ecole Centrale Paris (now part of CentraleSupélec). Her strong academic foundation laid the groundwork for a remarkable career in semiconductor technology.
Mrs. Dzung had almost four decades of experience in Electronic Design Automation at Fairchild Semiconductor, Zilog, Pacesetter/St. Jude Medical, Maxim and ADI. Since joining Maxim in 2000, she led an exceptional transformation of analog and mixed-signal simulation to improve simulation speed, user interface and co-simulation techniques. Before retiring, Mrs. Dzung served as the EDA Director for Mixed-Signal at ADI, where her expertise shaped the development of critical design technologies.
Her extensive IC Design industry experience and technical contributions align perfectly with VNCHIP Institute’s mission to drive innovation in semiconductor research and education. As a scientist council member, Mrs. Dzung’s leadership and insights help guide VNCHIP Institute in developing cutting-edge IC design methodologies. Her dedication to excellence and legacy of innovation continue to inspire the next generation of engineers and researchers in the semiconductor industry.

Dr.Nguyen

Dr. Tran Quang Nguyen is a prominent researcher and educator contributing significantly to the development of our IC Design Institute. His expertise spans materials science, semiconductor devices, and automation, making him a key figure in advancing innovative in IC Design Research. He specializes in developing 0D, 1D, and 2D materials such as graphene, phosphorene, and ZnO, utilizing advanced methods like CVD and PVD.
Dr. Nguyen has made notable contributions to the development of gas sensor devices and the automation of material fabrication processes using robotics, aligning with VNCHIP Institute's mission to lead in technological innovation. His extensive teaching portfolio includes foundational courses such as Semiconductor Physics, Solid State Physics, and Circuit Theory, nurturing the next generation of IC Design professionals. His research achievements include collaborative projects published in respected journals, with highlights on VOC-reducing photocatalytic materials and highly sensitive ammonia gas sensors.
Dr. Nguyen’s involvement in international conferences and research networks strengthens the institute’s global presence and fosters opportunities for collaboration. As a vital member of the IC Design Institute, his work exemplifies our commitment to excellence in research, innovation, and education, furthering Vietnam's position in the global semiconductor industry.
